You've got until the close of our shop to come down and pick it up. That means you could rent at 9am and pickup at 9pm.
If you don't pick it up, we'll be very upset! We'll give you 2 no-shows but after that we'll charge a no-show fee because you've got to be fair - we could have rented that movie to someone else.
Nup - we're really quite different.
Both Quickflix and Bigpondmovies do offer their catalogue online. But they don't show you what's actually available, and they don't let you have your movie straight away (they send it by mail). So if your selection is popular, or there's just not enough copies, you'll probably wait for that movie .. and wait. In fact, you won't even know how long you have to wait for.
Also, with these services you are bound to a monthly fee regardless of what you rent. So get busy and sit on your movies for a month, and you still pay your fee. With us its old-school pay as you go!
We think Quickflix is a great service, and it works well for lots of people. Plus we are no use to you if none of our stores are close by! But we like the immediacy of dealing locally - knowing what you can watch right now, organising a movie at the last minute, controlling our spending and picking up really cheap movies on week nights. Eg, on Super Tuesday you can rent a recent release for $2!
