Snapshot: Ratatouille

Pixar does it again. Not quite the genius of “Monsters Inc” but a great film for adults and kids all the same. You can’t help but wonder how they get you to love the whole rat nest in the end but those rats are lovable without losing their rattiness. It is the Chinese year of the rat and I am a rat myself so maybe that has something to do with it…..

I digress. A great animated feature that ticks all the boxes.

While I’m a Pixar fan and The Incredibles easily makes my top 5 favourite films, I found Ratatouille to be quite boring and had to force myself to watch the last third of the film. My 5 year old son didn’t have the same will-power and abandoned it mid-viewing.

I would only recommend it if you’re particularly a fan of movies about food.

Wow! A 5 year old wasn’t sustained. Maybe I liked it because I don’t get to eat in restaurants now I work in a DVD store and was living vicariously through a rat?!! I am a foodie…maybe I was hungry? I watched it with a 9 year old.
thanks for the feedback. We love getting customer opinions on movies so bring it on.
